Who are we?

We are an independent, volunteer-run women's network based in London, operating under the Lean In Org umbrella, dedicated to working towards fairer and gender-equal workplaces. We connect and support like-minded women to take control of their careers, thrive and learn from each other - to Lean In!

From humble beginnings

In 2016, a voluntary group of women passionate about supporting one another and other professional women came together to share thought-provoking ideas and Lean In over food and drinks, forming the Lean In Supper Circle.

As the Lean In Org community grew, so did the Supper Circle. Thanks to the incredible support of our amazing community members (like you!), we evolved into a network in 2021. Sharing support, ideas, and knowledge over delicious meals has always been at the heart of our community, which is why the name Lean In Food for Thought (LIFFT) was chosen.

To a thriving community

We are a thriving community of 1000+ mid- to senior-career women and entrepreneurs from all walks of life, eager to connect, learn, and share. Celebrating diversity in both personal and professional journeys, our network creates a strong sense of community through engaging events, networking opportunities, and inspirational speakers who share their expertise.

Beyond our events, we provide valuable insights and resources through LinkedIn and our newsletter. We also encourage members to actively connect with one another and form Lean In Circles for peer support and growth.

What our members say…

“I joined the Lean In Network during a tricky personal time (…). For years now, the network has been a safe space full of inspiring and honest conversations that have contributed to my growth and development. More specifically, the Lean In Network shaped my mindset of females in a modern workplace, provided me with opportunities to start collaborations outside of the network and, most importantly, gave me the courage to share my knowledge on the science of happiness at work. One of the proudest moments was for me to be the speaker at the network twice and inspire female professionals to reflect on their fulfilment at work. Thank you.”
