We are very excited about our next in-person event featuring our network’s amazing previous speaker and supporter, Christine Brown-Quinn. Join this highly interactive gathering to gain insight and confidence in kickstarting your career transition roadmap.
The event will be held at the beautiful, modern hub of Northeastern University near Tower Hill Station and will feature a slightly different format from what we are used to. As usual, you will have the chance to learn and meet other ambitious, professional women, but this time you will also have an opportunity to meet Northeastern students. This short networking session prior to the workshop will allow you to inspire young women about to enter the workforce by sharing your experiences or offering career advice. It is also a great chance to give back to the community.
Employment experts suggest that we are entering an era in which most of us won't have just one career. Given the rapid changes in business, are your skills and experience aligned with future growth? Where do you want to have an impact? Job satisfaction often comes from continuous learning and growth. Aligning your personal development with the strategic direction of your department, company, or industry is crucial. This alignment can help you reposition your transferable skills, curiosity, and enthusiasm effectively. Key takeaways include:
Adopting the ‘ownership mindset’ necessary for career development & progression
Positioning your career history in terms of acquisition of certain skills & experience rather than roles
Assessing your interests, skills, experience & potential gaps in light of your targeted career transition
Developing your targeted communication & networking strategy
Refining your intro or pitch to help the listener move from your past & present to your future

A note to our male supporters
This event is being arranged for women in London to meet and network. We love that we have male allies who want to be involved (and we'd love to hear from you about any ideas you have for that). However, this event is strictly for women.
